Diese Emirates A380 haben wir dieses mal von einem anderen Spotterort bei der Landung fotografiert. Man hat das Gefühl, dass sie jedem Moment auf dem Zaun landet.
Das Video wurde aber direkt unter der Landebahn Runway 14 gemacht. So hatten wir beide Ansichten.
Beim Start konnten wir sie beim Runway 16 fotografieren und beobachten. Im Hintergrund die schönen Schweizer Alpen mit Eiger, Mönch und Jungfrau mit Schnee bedeckt.

Die Airbus A380‑861 A6-EOM hatte ihren Erstflug am 10. März 2015 und wurde am 3. August 2015 an Emirates ausgeliefert.
Von April 2016 bis Mai 2021 trut sie das auffällige „United for Wildlife“-Design mit Tieren wie Elefanten und Gorillas.

Es gab ein Zwischenfall am 18. August 2023 bei der Landung in Nizza. Während des Anflugs auf die Landebahn 04L in Nice wechselte das Flugzeug in die Stellung CONF 1. Dabei hörte die Crew ein ungewöhnliches Geräusch und spürte leichte Vibrationen. Die Landung verlief aber normal, verletzt wurde Niemand.
Nach der Landung stellten Techniker fest, dass der obere Teil des Slats (Vorflügelklappe) Nummer 2 (rechts) stark beschädigt war. BEA (französische Flugunfalluntersuchungsbehörde) klassifizierte das Ereignis als „substantial damage“ und leitete eine Untersuchung ein.
Ein möglicher Zusammenstoß mit einer Drohne wurde diskutiert, wurde aber nicht bewiesen und laut BEA noch unklar.

This time we photographed this Emirates A380 during landing from a different spotting location. It feels like it’s about to land on the fence at any moment.
We were able to photograph and observe it during takeoff at Runway 16. In the background, the beautiful Swiss Alps, with the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, are covered in snow.

The Airbus A380-861 A6-EOM had its maiden flight on March 10, 2015, and was delivered to Emirates on August 3, 2015.
Livery, special liveries: From April 2016 to May 2021, it carried the striking „United for Wildlife“ design featuring animals such as elephants and gorillas.

There was an incident on August 18, 2023, during landing in Nice: During the approach to runway 04L in Nice, the aircraft switched to the CONF1 position (first stage of the flaps/slats). The crew heard an unusual noise and felt slight vibrations. The landing proceeded normally, and no one was injured.
After landing, technicians discovered that the upper section of the No. 2 (right) slat was severely damaged. The BEA (French Air Accident Investigation Agency) classified the incident as „substantial damage“ and launched an investigation.
A possible collision with a drone was discussed, but has not been proven and, according to the BEA, is still unclear.
