Heute hatte ich die Gelegenheit, eine ganz besondere Maschine am Flughafen Zürich (ZRH) zu sehen. Etihad Airways Boeing 777-300ER mit der Registration A6-ETI.
Auf den ersten Blick wirkt sie wie eine normale Etihad-Maschine. Doch bei genauerem Hinsehen fällt auf, dass sich die Lackierung leicht von der Standardflotte unterscheidet.
A6-ETI trug früher eine spezielle Beschriftung und kleine Designanpassungen, die sie auch heute noch von anderen Jets der Airline abheben. Trotz dieser Details wird sie offiziell nicht als Sonderlackierung („special livery“) geführt, was sie für Spotter umso interessanter macht.
Also wie erwähnt, keine offizielle Sonderlackierung. Daher haben wir sie auch Retro Livery unofficial getauft.

Die Boeing 777-300ER mit der Registrierung A6-ETI gehört zur Langstreckenflotte von Etihad Airways und ist eines der größten zweistrahligen Passagierflugzeuge der Welt. Sie ist rund 73,9 Meter lang, hat eine Spannweite von 64,8 Metern und bietet je nach Konfiguration Platz für 315 bis 370 Passagiere. Angetrieben wird sie von zwei GE90-115B-Triebwerken, die zu den stärksten der zivilen Luftfahrt zählen. Mit einer Reichweite von etwa 13 650 Kilometern verbindet A6-ETI interkontinentale Ziele nonstop – effizient, zuverlässig und komfortabel.

Today I had the opportunity to see a very special aircraft at Zurich Airport (ZRH): an Etihad Airways Boeing 777-300ER with the registration A6-ETI.
At first glance, it looks like a normal Etihad aircraft. But upon closer inspection, it’s noticeable that the livery differs slightly from the standard fleet.
A6-ETI used to have special lettering and minor design adjustments that still distinguish it from the airline’s other jets today. Despite these details, it’s not officially registered as a special livery, which makes it all the more interesting for spotters.
So, as mentioned, it’s not an official special livery. That’s why we’ve dubbed it the „Retro Livery Unofficial.“
