Diese Hercules Air Force kam, wie so viele Militärflugzeuge an diesem Tag, wegen der Military World Winter Games nach Zürich. Sehr zu Freuden für uns Planespotters. Denn solche Militär Flugzeuge kriegt man nicht alle Tage vor die Linsen. Sei es vor die Augenlinsen oder vor das Objektiv. Kleiner Joke am Rande.
Die Hercules war unglaublich toll zum Anschauen. Zum einen war sie recht laut und gross. Und zum anderen sah man Regenwirbelungen und ähnlich sehr deutlich. Das siehst du auch auf dem Video und Foto.

Die Lockheed C-130 Hercules ist ein robustes, viermotoriges Militärtransportflugzeug, das seit den 1950er-Jahren weltweit im Einsatz steht. Mit einer Spannweite von rund 40 Metern, einer Länge von etwa 30 Metern und einer Reisegeschwindigkeit von 540 km/h kann sie auf kurzen, unbefestigten Pisten landen und erfüllt Transport-, Versorgungs- sowie humanitäre Missionen zuverlässig. Die Maschine kann zwischen 8.600 bis 10.000 Metern Flughöhe erreichen.

This Hercules Air Force, like so many military aircraft that day, came to Zurich for the Military World Winter Games. Much to the delight of us plane spotters. Because you don’t get to see military aircraft like this every day. Be it in front of your eyes or in front of your camera lens. Just a little joke.
The Hercules was incredibly beautiful to watch. For one thing, it was quite loud and large. And for another, you could see rain swirls and similar effects very clearly. You can see that in the video and photo, too.
