Diesen Jumbo von Qatar Amiri Flight durften wir am Flughafen in Basel geniessen. Wenn am EAP ein Jumbo startet oder landet, dann ist das doppelt eindrücklich, da man (für schweizer Verhältnisse) recht nahe am Flugzeug sein kann. Man spürt die Kraft und Grösse. Ein tolles Gefühl.
Uns persönlich gefällt die Lackierung von Qatar sehr gut. Eines der schönsten Fluggesellschaften unserer Meinung nach.

Die A7-HHF ist eine Boeing 747-8Z5(BBJ). Ein luxuriös ausgestatteter Business-Jet (BBJ) der Qatar Amiri Flight, speziell für die Monarchie Katars. Sie ist für exklusive Flugverbindungen für die königliche Familie sowie hochrangige Regierungsvertreter bereitstellt. Der Jumbo wurde 2014 gebaut und 2017 ausgeliefert.
Der Innenraum wurde vom renommierten Designer Cabinet Alberto Pinto gestaltet, mit edlen Teppichen von Tai Ping, Hölzern wie Sycamore und Wacapou sowie Kunstwerken von Alexander Calder. An Bord gibt es mehrere Lounges, Gäste- und Hauptschlafzimmer, diverse Badezimmer und Toiletten (insgesamt neun), sowie Besprechungsräume. Das Flugzeug bietet Platz für etwa 89 Personen.
Interessanter Hintergrund: Die Airline agiert als eigenständiges Unternehmen unter dem Dach des katarischen Staates. Sie unterhält eine kleine Flotte luxuriös ausgestatteter VIP-Jets – darunter auch die A7-HHF – die für Einsätze weltweit auf Abruf bereitstehen.

We were lucky enough to enjoy this jumbo jet from Qatar Amiri Flight at Basel Airport. When a jumbo jet takes off or lands at Basel Airport, it’s doubly impressive, as you can get quite close to the aircraft (by Swiss standards). You can feel its power and size. It’s a fantastic feeling.
We personally really like Qatar’s livery. It’s one of the most beautiful airlines, in our opinion.

The A7-HHF is a Boeing 747-8Z5 (BBJ). A luxuriously equipped business jet (BBJ) from Qatar Amiri Flight, specifically for the Qatari monarchy. It is used for exclusive flights for the royal family and high-ranking government officials. The jumbo jet was built in 2014 and delivered in 2017.
The interior was designed by renowned designer Cabinet Alberto Pinto, featuring fine carpets by Tai Ping, woods such as Sycamore and Wacapou, and artwork by Alexander Calder. On board are several lounges, guest and master bedrooms, various bathrooms and restrooms (nine in total), as well as meeting rooms. The aircraft can accommodate approximately 89 people.
An interesting fact: The airline operates as an independent company under the umbrella of the Qatari government. It maintains a small fleet of luxuriously equipped VIP jets – including the A7-HHF – that are on call for missions worldwide.
