Am diesjährigen WEF kündigte sich Donald Trump an. Was für uns Spotter zu Gute kommt, denn so beglücken uns viele für uns eher seltene Flugzeuge. Unter anderem diese Boeing C-17A Globemaster III. Die bekommt man nicht alle Tage vor die Linse. Und am heutigen Tag sogar 4 Stück! Was für ein Erlebnis. Yael und ich nutzten die Chance und fotografierten und filmten alle aus einem anderen Winkel und anderen Standort. So konnten wir die Maschinen unterschiedlich geniessen und fotografieren.
Es war gigantisch. Va. das mystische Wetter machte das Ganze sehr speziell. Ja zum Fotografieren nicht unbedingt perfekt. Aber vom Feeling her dafür.

Die 09-9211 ist eine C-17A Globemaster III der US-Luftwaffe. Die Zahl 09 steht für das Haushaltsjahr 2009, in dem das Flugzeug beschafft wurde, 9211 ist die individuelle Seriennummer. Die Maschine wird für strategische Lufttransportaufgaben genutzt und kann große Mengen an Fracht, militärischem Gerät und Personal über interkontinentale Distanzen transportieren. Wie alle C-17 ist auch die 09-9211 für Einsätze unter schwierigen Bedingungen ausgelegt.

Donald Trump announced his attendance at this year’s World Economic Forum. This was great news for us plane spotters, as it meant we got to see many aircraft that are rather rare for us. Among them was this Boeing C-17A Globemaster III. You don’t get to see one of these every day. And today, there were even four of them! What an experience! Yael and I took advantage of the opportunity and photographed and filmed them all from different angles and locations. This allowed us to enjoy and photograph the aircraft from different perspectives.
It was fantastic. The mystical weather, in particular, made the whole thing very special. Not exactly perfect for photography, yes, but the atmosphere was amazing.

The 09-9211 is a C-17A Globemaster III of the U.S. Air Force. The number 09 represents the fiscal year 2009, in which the aircraft was procured, and 9211 is its individual serial number. The aircraft is used for strategic airlift missions and can transport large quantities of cargo, military equipment, and personnel over intercontinental distances. Like all C-17s, the 09-9211 is designed for operations in challenging conditions.
