Yael war sehr happy, als sie sah, dass die Retro Livery von Condor heute nach Zürich kommt. Auch diese Maschine haben wir vom Lieblingshügel kommen sehen und es genossen, dass sie so dicht über uns fliegt.
Beim Abflug hat dann die Lande- und Startbahn gewechselt. So haben wir die Condor Livery aus der nähe und mal an einer anderen Stelle beobachten können. Das hat uns sehr gefreut.

Textauszug condor.com. Endlich ist unser Hans wieder auf Strecke: Bislang trug die A320 mit der Kennung D-AICA die grau-blauen Farben der frühen 60er Jahre, ab jetzt erinnert der Condor-Airbus mit der Kennung D-AICH an die Anfänge des Ferienflugs.
Der Taufname „Hans“ erinnert an den Reiseunternehmer Hans Geisler, der Condor – damals noch „Deutsche Flugdienst GmbH“ – als erstes sein Vertrauen schenkte. Und im Jahre 1956 als Gründer von Geisler Tours den ersten Charterflug nach Jerusalem und Ägypten anfragte.
Condor ist damit die Fluggesellschaft mit der längsten Ferienfliegertradition in ganz Europa.

Yael was thrilled to see that Condor’s retro livery was coming to Zurich today. We even saw this plane approaching from our favorite hill and enjoyed watching it fly so low overhead.
The runway changed during takeoff, so we were able to see the Condor livery up close and from a different vantage point. We were delighted!

Finally, our Hans is back in service: Until now, the A320 with the registration D-AICA sported the gray and blue colors of the early 1960s; from now on, the Condor Airbus with the registration D-AICH evokes the beginnings of holiday flights.
The name „Hans“ honors the travel entrepreneur Hans Geisler, who was the first to place his trust in Condor – then still „Deutsche Flugdienst GmbH“ – and, as the founder of Geisler Tours, requested the first charter flight to Jerusalem and Egypt in 1956.
This makes Condor the airline with the longest tradition of holiday flights in all of Europe.
